Come enjoy a summer's evening (great food and wine, friends old and new) gathering in support of St. Mark's work as a Santa Barbara County community service hub for the Santa Ynez Valley region.
St. Mark's is full swing in a new season of neighborly work and this year's Summer Classic gathers the people, relationships, and commitment that will keep us all going!
The SYV Community Kitchen is now fully permitted and building the programs and connections we have long-imagined for that space.
Open Doors is welcoming many non-profit and community-based groups to gather on a no-fee basis to do the critically important work that is urgent in rebuilding everything we know we need to move into the very uncertain future we all face.Typically more than 100 organizations meet annually at St. Mark's -- many of them County-wide groups and projects finding St. Mark's to be a place of constructive hospitality, bringing people together.
Our professional preschool has been offering full, in-person school years since fall of 2020 and it is no secret that children need these face-to-face learning and growth opportunities. Early childhood education is both a stressed and essential resource in our Santa Barbara County communities and we have a responsibility to build scholarship funds to assure it is available to everyone in our Santa Ynez Valley area.
The Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series gathered a full season of in-person audiences to hear stellar artists offer five magnificent concerts. The 2022-23 season is being planned now. The 43rd season of this much-beloved chamber music series will continue the availability of the fine arts for people in our region.
Daily we open our doors to area residents, workers, and visitors. We offer restrooms, Wi-Fi, labyrinth, a shady courtyard, and other amenities (like ice water on hot days and treats and water for dogs every day). An inviting haven of welcome we all need.
Through the Summer Classic, you make all of this possible -- while sharing a warm and wonderful time together with your neighbors.
