The Summer Classic, a dinner and auction event, emceed by longtime parishioner Andrew Firestone, will take place al fresco in our courtyard at the church in Los Olivos.
St. Mark’s Summer Classic begins at 5:30 pm with hors d’oeuvres, outstanding local wines and time to peruse and bid at the silent auction. The live auction will present one-of-a-kind special events as well as treasured lifestyle and travel experiences. St. Mark's good friends Jeff and Janet Olsson of New West Catering will prepare gourmet foods for the event.
St. Mark's is open to the world around us and serves as a visitor, hospitality, and community center, and as an arts and music venue for the whole Santa Ynez Valley region. We also serve many visitors to our area with a warm welcome and needed services. Our faith community and friends in the wider community support this work through a summer event each year.
Reservations for the 2018 St. Mark’s Summer Classic are available for $150 per person including wines, beverages, hors d'oeuvres, gourmet dinner and music. We hope to host many who have supported our work in the past as well as new guests.
The silent auction (from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.) offers a tempting and varied collection of lifestyle packages, wine experiences, cultural events and great meals. The live auction will include some "only at St. Mark's" events and there will be opportunities for those who want to bid a little or a lot.
Throughout the evening, DJ Marc Dillon of Gavin Roy Presents will curate custom playlists to underscore each part of the evening concluding with music for dancing under the stars.
As with all our events: many hands will make light work in presenting the event - help of all kinds from members and friends of St. Mark's will make the event a success - and keep St. Mark's in service to those who need this special place in the wider community.
